Why I love this movie...
Now, let's just be clear. For all practical purposes, the original movie, Alien, was a better movie over all. I mean, Ridley Scott..HELLO!
I know what a good film is, but James Cameron's brilliant sequel is so much more entertaining. The only way I can explain it, is this: I watch Alien about once a year. I watch Aliens about once a month. I could watch this movie every day if I didn't think there was something wrong with that. The other thing is: Alien was new and exciting in it's time, but now, the bi-pedal xenomorph is just kind-of silly. Although I don't think Scott showed it in full in the movie. I may have seen it in the extra footage on the DVD. Granted, it's was made very well but it didn't have some of the amazing things that the sequel had. More was explained about the xenomorph life-cycle. The amazing art of H.R. Gieger was exhibited more in the hive and in the awesome image of The Queen. Cameron took it to another level and made, what I think is, one the most successful sequels ever.

Aside from all that, it's so entertaining. This movie has more quotable lines than any sci-fi movie ever. You may not agree with me, but I assure you, you'd be wrong. I am right. Some examples:
"I guess she didn't like the corn bread either."-Frost
"Game over, man! Game over!"-Hudson-whiny bitch-boy
"What the hell are we supposed to use...harsh lanquage?"-Frost-why did they have to kill him off?
"Stop your ginnin' and drop your linen. Found 'em."-Hudson
"Hudson! Come here! COME here!"-Sgt. Apone-so bad ass there's no way he would have gotten killed in real life.
"Did IQ's just drop sharply while I was away?"-Ripley-our beloved heroine
"Newt. My name's Newt. Nobody calls me Rebecca...except my brother."-the Newtster
"Marachek, John J."-Bishop-not so much quotable, as I am just obsessed with this line for some reason.
"It looks like a goddamn town meeting."-Hicks
"How long 'til it blows?"-Hicks
"Spunkmeyer?"-Ferro-just 'cause I like the name "Spunkmeyer".
"I may be synthetic...but I'm not stupid."-Bishop
"Look into my eye. Fall in people!"-Sgt. Apone.
"They mostly come out at night...mostly."-Newt
"I only need to know one thing man: Where they are."-Vasquez-Damn straight sister!
